Russians set up minefields in northern Crimea - Crimean Tatars’ Mejlis
This was announced by the head of the Department for Legal Affairs and Foreign Affairs of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center Eskender Bariev, who spoke on the air of the national telethon, Ukrinform reports.
"We’ve warned about minefields in the Krasnoperekopsk district. The city of Armiansk is also located in this area. Speaking about what’s happening at the Crimean Titan plant, I would like to draw attention to sedimentation reservoirs at the facility, where fresh water accumulates. They are shallow and cannot prevent a counterattack. We have information that they have also been mined along the perimeter," said Bariev.
He also noted that there were risks to the operation of the Crimean Titan chemical plant due to the fact that Crimea will not receive Dnipro water after the Kakhovka HPP dam burst.
As reported earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine said Russian military engineering units were mining the workshops at the Crimean Titan chemical plant.
