Each family of those killed in Russian missile attack on Kryvyi Rih to get UAH 300,000
Dnipropetrovsk region governor Serhii Lysak said this in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.
"The families of the victims can count on financial assistance from the region - UAH 300,000," he said.
Lysak recalled that June 14 had been declared a day of mourning in Kryvyi Rih.
According to him, rescuers, utility workers, and volunteers are working at the scene of the attack. International charitable organizations have deployed humanitarian missions.
"After the examinations, we will understand whether it is possible to restore the damaged high-rise building. Meanwhile, in the buildings nearby, broken windows are covered with film and wooden plates. Everyone has been provided with food and medical assistance," Lysak wrote.
In the early hours of June 13, Russian troops attacked Kryvyi Rih with six cruise missiles. Eleven people were killed in the attack. Four were killed in a strike on an apartment building and seven at the warehouse of a private enterprise.
According to the presidential office, about 60 people were left homeless. Local authorities should offer them temporary housing and then resolve the issue of purchasing new apartments or repairing the damaged building.
