In Kherson, in the neighborhood of Ostrov (Korabel), which suffered the most from the Russian explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant, restoration work is beginning in places where water has fallen.

Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Regional Military Administration, reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"The Kherson neighborhood of Ostrov suffered the most due to the occupiers' blowing up of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant. More than two thousand houses are under water here. And the residential area itself became cut off from the rest of the city," the statement said.

As noted, the water has not yet completely receded, but restoration work is already underway where possible.

The head of the RMA reminded that entry to the neighborhood is prohibited, and an enhanced curfew has been introduced. It is necessary for more effective flood relief and safety of residents and lasts from 15:00 to 12:00.

As reported, at night on June 6, the Russian army blew up the dam of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant.

According to the RMA, as of the morning of June 14, the average level of flooding is 2.13 meters. This is 32 centimeters less than yesterday evening. The downward trend in water level remains.
