Russians shell seven communities in Sumy region
That’s according to the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Ukrinform reports.
According to the official data, 122 explosions were recorded in the region in just one day as seven communities came under enemy fire.
The Russians attacked Seredyna-Buda employing mortars and AGS grenade launchers. Eight and 23 explosions were reported, respectively. As a result of enemy strikes, an apartment block, private houses, and commercial premises were damaged.
The invaders subsequently launched a second mortar attack on its territory, resulting in eight more explosions. This time, two apartment blocks, seven private houses, some non-residential premises, a shop, four cars, and a scooter were damaged.
As a result of enemy shelling in the Seredyna-Buda community, one person was injured and taken to the hospital.
Russian troops attacked the Bilopillia community employing mortars (17 explosions), barrel artillery, and grenade launchers (10 explosions each). As a result of one of the mortar attacks, the power line was affected.
A Russian helicopter fired rockets at the Nova Slobidka community where three explosions rang out. The enemy also shelled this territory using mortars, causing seven more explosions.
The Esman community was also hit by a mortar. Twenty-six explosions were recorded there. A warehouse, power line, and water tower located on the premises of an agricultural enterprise were damaged.
Russian artillery fired at the Velyka Pysarivka and Shalyhine communities – four and five blasts were reported, respectively.
The Russians mortared the Putivl community where a single explosion was recorded.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, on June 13, eight communities in Sumy region bordering Russia came under enemy shelling. As a result of one of the strikes, employees of the state forestry enterprise were killed.
