Two communities in Kryvyi Rih district have no water, two more - partially
The head of the Kryvyi Rih District Military Administration Yevhen Sytnychenko wrote about this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"In our district without centralized water supply remained Hrushivka, Vakulove communities in full and partially Apostolove and Zelenodolsk. Other communities are currently provided with centralized water supply, but still, each and every one of us should save water as much as possible and be grateful for the help provided to Kryvyi Rih district," the statement said.
The head of the Kryvyi Rih district administration added that yesterday a large cargo with water storage tanks was delivered to Kryvyi Rih district from the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.
Also yesterday, thanks to cooperation with the Mukachevo District Military Administration, Kryvyi Rih received humanitarian aid in the form of 22 tons of bottled water delivered by Zakarpattia volunteers. This water will be handed over to the communities and our defenders.
Yevhen Sytnychenko noted that work to restore water supply is already underway and urged people not to film, photograph or publish processes related to critical infrastructure facilities.
As Ukrinform reported, more than a million people may be left without water in Nikopol and Kryvyi Rih districts, which were mainly supplied by the Kakhovka reservoir, due to the Russian occupiers' blowing up of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant.
The Reconstruction Agency plans to build three 87-km-long water pipelines that will be able to deliver about 300,000 cubic meters of water per day with the possibility of increasing the volume of water supply to towns and villages where water problems have arisen due to the explosion of the Kakhovka HPP. The newly constructed infrastructure will provide high-quality drinking water to the residents of Nikopol, Marhanets, Kryvyi Rih, Tomakivka, Maryanske and Pokrov.
