Two civilians injured in Russia’s shelling of Kharkiv region in past day
Oleh Syniehubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"The enemy fired artillery and mortars at populated areas of Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Chuhuiv, Bohodukhiv and Izium districts yesterday," he wrote.
According to Syniehubov, as a result of mortar shelling in the village of Lypsi, Kharkiv district, two private residential buildings were destroyed, a 35-year-old man was injured, and a car was damaged.
The region’s governor noted that in Vovchansk, Chuhuiv district, Russian strikes damaged a power line, at least two houses and farm buildings. A 65-year-old man was injured and hospitalized in Pershotravneve, Izium district.
In the village of Morozova Dolyna, Bohodukhiv district, a fire broke out in a forest strip outside the settlement due to shelling.
In Tokarivka, Kharkiv district, a 52-year-old local resident stepped on a “petal” mine and was hospitalized with moderate injuries.
Syniehubov added that demining works are ongoing in Kharkiv region. Over the past day, the State Emergency Service neutralized 55 explosive objects.
As reported by Ukrinform, on June 17, a Russian guided missile hit a car in the village of Huryiv Kozachok in Kharkiv region, killing two volunteers.
