Air defense forces down 32 out of 35 Russian combat drones last night

Ukraine’s air defense forces shot down 32 out of 35 Russian combat drones on the night of June 20.

“On the night of June 20, the enemy struck the military and infrastructure facilities of Ukraine with Shahed-136/131 Iranian-made loitering munitions,” the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted on Telegram.

Drones were launched from the northern and southern directions – Russia’s Bryansk region and the eastern coast of the Sea of Azov.

"In total, the occupiers used 35 combat drones. Thirty-two drones were destroyed by air defense forces. Thirty Shahed UAVs were destroyed by the Air Force forces and means, two more by units of the Ground Forces," the report reads.

As the Air Force noted, "air defense forces have been working today in most regions of Ukraine, however, the main direction of attack by Iranian drones is Kyiv region. More than two dozen Shahed drones were destroyed here."

In addition, at night, Russian troops struck Zaporizhzhia with Iskander-M/S-300 missiles.

Assault, bomber, and fighter aircraft of the Air Force continue to strike the positions, equipment and rear of the Russians.
