Ukrainian Defense Forces effectively destroy Russian troops in Donetsk region - General Staff

Andriy Kovalev, the spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces, said this on the air of the United News telethon, Ukrinform reportsed

"Units from the occupying 83rd Air Assault Brigade of the Russian Airborne Forces were tasked to move to the area of Klishchiyivka, Donetsk region, to replace the occupiers from the 31st Air Assault Brigade, who suffered significant losses. During the transition to the first line of defense, many occupants were killed or wounded," Kovalev noted.

According to him, the wounded Russian paratroopers were evacuated by helicopters to Rostov-on-Don, and from there, due to a lack of space in the occupiers' hospitals, they were taken by truck to Novocherkassk. However, medical facilities in this city are also overcrowded.

As Ukrinform reported, the Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated about 222,000 Russian invaders from February 24, 2022, to June 21, 2023.
