Defense forces continue to advance in Melitopol, Berdiansk directions – Maliar

"During the day, the situation has not changed significantly. In the south, the offensive of our defense forces continues, we are gradually moving forward, having partial successes, pushing back the enemy, and leveling the front. The defense forces of Ukraine continue offensive operations in Melitopol and Berdiansk directions. In some areas, they advanced and gained a foothold on the boundaries achieved," Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Hanna Maliar posted on Telegram.

She added that the enemy tries to regain the lost positions, amasses and uses reserves, but suffers heavy losses. In the east of the country, according to the deputy minister, the defense forces carry out both offensive and defensive operations.

Battles continue in Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiyivka, and Maryinka directions, the defense forces continue to restrain the enemy's advance.

In particular, as Maliar added, the heaviest battles are ongoing in Lyman direction in the areas of Dibrova, Serebrianske forestry, and Hryhorivka in Donetsk region. During the day, the defense forces carried out offensive operations in Bilohorivka – Dibrova direction, had partial success, and gain a foothold on the achieved boundaries.
