War update: Russian troops focus efforts on three directions

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to the updated information, over the past day, Russian invaders have fired 40 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles at Ukraine’s territory, as well as nine Kh-22 missiles, two Kalibr-type sea-launched cruise missiles, two S-300 guided missiles, and three Shahed drones. Ukraine’s air defense units destroyed 40 Kh-101/Kh-555 missiles, one Kalibr missile, and three Shahed drones.

The enemy attacked Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih with the Kh-22 missiles. Unfortunately, casualties among civilians were reported. Dozens of detached houses were destroyed, as well as household buildings, infrastructure objects, and over 50 cars.

In general, Russian troops launched 53 missile strikes, 11 air strikes, and opened fire with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) over 30 times.

The threat of Russian missile and air strikes is persisting all over Ukraine.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remained rather unchanged.

In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, Russian invaders launched mortar and artillery strikes on the Chernihiv region’s Halahanivka; the Sumy region’s Novovasylivka, Chuikivka and Fotovyzh; the Kharkiv region’s Okip, Chervona Zoria, Veterynarne, Pylna, Kozacha Lopan, Ohirtseve, Hatyshche, Bochkove, Budarky and Chuhunivka.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian occupiers conducted offensive actions towards Berestove but had no success. The enemy launched artillery and mortar strikes on the Kharkiv region’s Krasne Pershe, Fyholivka, Dvorichna, Masiutivka, Kyslivka and Berestove.

In the Lyman direction, Russian troops conducted unsuccessful offensive actions towards Vesele. The enemy launched air strikes near the Luhansk region’s Bilohorivka, as well as artillery strikes on the Luhansk region’s Nevske and Bilohorivka, and the Donetsk region’s Torske, Serebrianka, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne and Rozdolivka.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian invaders conducted unsuccessful offensive actions near Ivanivske. The enemy launched artillery strikes on the Donetsk region’s Vasiukivka, Minkivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Ozarianivka and New York.

In the Avdiivka direction, Russian troops launched air strikes near Avdiivka and Sieverne, as well as artillery strikes on the Donetsk region’s Novooleksandrivka, Keramik, Novokalynove, Avdiivka, Sieverne, Vodiane, Umanske, Vesele, Karlivka, Pervomaiske and Nevelske.

In the Marinka direction, Russian invaders conducted unsuccessful offensive actions near the Donetsk region’s Marinka. The enemy launched artillery strikes on the Donetsk region’s Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Pobieda, Kurakhove, Oleksiivka and Heorhiivka.

In the Shakhtarske direction, Russian occupiers launched air strikes near the Donetsk region’s Zolota Nyva, Makarivka and Prechystivka, as well as shelled Katerynivka, Bohoiavlenka, Novomykhailivka, Blahodatne, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva and Novoukrainka.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian troops continue holding defense. The enemy is focusing efforts to prevent Ukrainian forces from advancing. Russian invaders launched air strikes near the Zaporizhzhia region’s Novodanylivka, Orikhiv and Robotyne. The enemy attacked over 40 settlements with artillery, including the Zaporizhzhia region’s Novodarivka, Levadne, Poltavka, Zaliznychne, Huliaipole, Huliaipilske, Charivne, Bilohiria,  Orikhiv and Prymorske; the Dnipropetrovsk region’s Nikopol; the Kherson region’s Dudchany, Beryslav, Vesele, Kozatske, Inzhenerne, Antonivka, Zelenivka, Bilozerka, Dniprovske and Kizomys.

According to the available data, Russian troops continue robbing civilians within the temporarily occupied areas. In a cottage cooperative, which is located between Luhivka and Fabrychne, Russian soldiers are stealing property and personal belongings from the locals’ houses.

In the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s Air Force has launched 18 strikes on enemy personnel clusters, and destroyed one air defense missile system.

Ukrainian missile and artillery units hit Russia’s Strela surface-to-air missile system, three Russian personnel and military equipment clusters, 12 guns in firing position, and two electronic warfare systems.
