War update: Hostilities raging in east, over 35 engagements in three directions

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Over the past day, Russian invaders have launched another missile and air attack on Ukraine’s territory. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine downed two Russian Kalibr missiles and seven Shahed-136/131 drones. The enemy also attacked Ukraine’s territory with four unidentified unmanned aerial vehicles (presumably UCAVs) from the northern direction. All drones were destroyed.

Additionally, Russian troops launched 36 air strikes and opened fire with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) 17 times.

The threat of Russian missile and air strikes is persisting all over Ukraine, according to the General Staff.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remained rather unchanged. No enemy offensive groups were detected. Russian military units continue training within the Belarusian training grounds prior to being sent to the areas of hostilities in Ukraine.

In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy is maintaining military presence. Russian troops launched mortar and artillery strikes on the Chernihiv region’s Hirsk; the Sumy region’s Sorokyne, Koreniok, Stukalivka, Yunakivka and Loknia; the Kharkiv region’s Udy, Chervona Zoria, Odnorobivka ,Veterynarne, Hoptivka, Strilecha, Pylna, Kozacha Lopan, Morokhovets, Lukiantsi, Izbytske, Pletenivka, Ohirtseve, Volokhivka, Budarky, Zemlianky, Odradne and Chuhunivka.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian occupiers conducted offensive actions towards Stelmakhivka but had no success. The enemy launched artillery and mortar strikes on the Kharkiv region’s Krasne Pershe, Vasyltsivka, Fyholivka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Masiutivka, Kyslivka and Berestove.

In the Lyman direction, Russian troops launched air strikes near the Luhansk region’s Bilohorivka, and the Donetsk region’s Spirne and Rozdolivka, as well as artillery strikes on the Luhansk region’s Bilohorivka, and the Donetsk region’s Torske, Serebrianka, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne and Rozdolivka.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian invaders conducted unsuccessful offensive actions towards Bohdanivka. The enemy launched air strikes near the Donetsk region’s Soledar and Bila Hora, as well as artillery strikes on the Donetsk region’s Vasiukivka, Markove, Khromove, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Ozarianivka and Pivdenne.

In the Avdiivka direction, Russian troops conducted unsuccessful offensive actions towards Pervomaiske. The enemy launched air strikes near Avdiivka and Sieverne, as well as artillery strikes on the Donetsk region’s Sukha Balka, Avdiivka, Orlivka, Vodiane, Karlivka, Nevelske, Oleksandropil, Valentynivka, Keramik, Stepove and Pervomaiske.

In the Marinka direction, Russian invaders conducted unsuccessful offensive actions near the Donetsk region’s Marinka. The enemy launched an air strike near Krasnohorivka, as well as artillery strikes on the Donetsk region’s Heorhiivka, Pobieda and Marinka.

In the Shakhtarske direction, Ukraine’s Defense Forces liberated the Donetsk region’s Rivnopil from Russian invaders. The enemy launched air strikes near the Donetsk region’s Prechystivka, Makarivka and Blahodatne, as well as shelled the Donetsk region’s Illinka, Paraskoviivka, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Storozheve, Yelyzavetivka, Bohoiavlenka, Vuhledar, Zolota Nyva, Makarivka, Novosilka, Zelene Pole and Novopil.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian troops are focusing efforts to prevent Ukrainian forces from advancing. The enemy launched air strikes near Levadne and Oleshky, as well as artillery strikes on the Zaporizhzhia region’s Temyrivka, Novodarivka, Levadne, Olhivske, Malynivka, Zaporizhzhia, Chervone, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Huliaipilske, Mala Tokmachka, Orikhiv, Shcherbaky, Piatykhatky and Lobkove; the Dnipropetrovsk region’s Nikopol; the Kherson region’s Dudchany, Olhivka, Respublikanets, Lvove, Tiahynka, Burhunka, Kachkarivka, Mykolaivka, Zmiivka, Antonivka, Naddniprianske, Molodizhne, Inzhenerne, Zelenivka, Kherson, Bilozerka, Berehove, Romashkove, Charivne and Dniprovske; and the Mykolaiv region’s Ochakiv.

In the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s Air Force has launched six strikes on enemy personnel clusters. Ukrainian missile and artillery units hit one Russian command post and 10 artillery units in firing positions.
