War update: Enemy focuses efforts on three directions, over 30 clashes in past day
The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
Ukraine’s Air Force launched 18 strikes on enemy personnel clusters and six strikes on Russian air defense missile systems. The Ukrainian military destroyed six enemy reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Ukraine’s missile and artillery units hit one Russian command post, two Buk surface-to-air missile systems, and four personnel, ammunition and military equipment clusters.
Russian troops continue violating the laws and customs of war, using the tactics of terror and attacking civilian objects.
Over the past day, Russian invaders have fired five Kh-22 air-launched cruise missiles and two S-300 guided missiles at Ukraine’s territory. The enemy also launched 24 air strikes and opened fire with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) 42 times. The Russian Kh-22 missiles hit a cottage cooperative in the Poltava region’s Kremenchuk district and Zaporizhzhia. The S-300 missiles struck a busy restaurant in downtown Kramatorsk and the detached house suburbs in the Donetsk region’s Bilenke. Over 50 civilians were reported injured.
On the night of June 28, 2023, Russian terrorists again fired Shahed drones at Ukraine’s territory. The effects are yet to be checked.
Meanwhile, the threat of Russian missile and air strikes is persisting all over Ukraine, according to the General Staff.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remained rather unchanged.
In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, Russian troops launched mortar and artillery strikes on over 20 settlements, including the Chernihiv region’s Zarichchia and Tymonovychi; the Sumy region’s Seredyna Buda, Porokhon, Fotovyzh and Velyka Pysarivka; the Kharkiv region’s Udy, Kozacha Lopan, and Krasne Pershe.
In the Kupiansk direction, over 20 settlements came under enemy fire, namely the Kharkiv region’s Masiutivka, Kyslivka, Kotliarivka and Berestove.
In the Lyman direction, Russian occupiers conducted unsuccessful offensive actions towards Bilohorivka. The enemy launched artillery strikes on over 15 settlements, including the Luhansk region’s Nevske, Dibrova and Bilohorivka, and the Donetsk region’s Yampolivka, Torske, Serebrianka and Spirne.
In the Bakhmut direction, Russian invaders conducted unsuccessful offensive actions near Orikhovo-Vasylivka. Over 15 settlements came under enemy fire, including the Donetsk region’s Nykyforivka, Vasiukivka, Rozdolivka, Markove, Khromove, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Ozarianivka and Pivdenne.
In the Avdiivka direction, Russian troops launched air strikes near Avdiivka, as well as artillery strikes on over 20 settlements, namely the Donetsk region’s Keramik, Novokalynove, Avdiivka, Yasnobrodivka, Pervomaiske and Nevelske.
In the Marinka direction, Russian invaders conducted unsuccessful offensive actions near the Donetsk region’s Marinka and Pobieda. The enemy launched air strikes near Marinka and Krasnohorivka, as well as artillery strikes on over 10 settlements, namely the Donetsk region’s Illinka, Pobieda and Marinka.
In the Shakhtarske direction, Russian troops conducted unsuccessful offensive actions towards Rivnopil. The enemy launched air strikes near the Donetsk region’s Storozheve, as well as shelled over 15 settlements, including the Donetsk region’s Katerynivka, Yelyzavetivka, Bohoiavlenka, Blahodatne, Vuhledar, Prechystivka and Zolota Nyva.
In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian troops are focusing efforts to prevent Ukrainian forces from advancing. The enemy launched air strikes near the Zaporizhzhia region’s Orikhiv and Novodanylivka. Over 50 settlements came under enemy fire, including the Zaporizhzhia region’s Novodarivka, Olhivske, Poltavka, Malynivka, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka, Preobrazhenka, Orikhiv and Pavlivka; the Dnipropetrovsk region’s Nikopol; the Kherson region’s Zolota Balka, Dudchany, Kachkarivka, Vesele, Antonivka, Kherson, Bilozerka, Dniprovske and Kizomys; and the Mykolaiv region’s Ochakiv.
In the Kherson region’s Hornostaivka, Russian occupiers are seizing housing property from local residents who fled to the Ukrainian-controlled territory or were killed during hostilities. The stolen housing property is labeled as that ‘of the Russian Federation’.
