Russian troops make two air attacks in Bakhmut direction, ten combat engagements totally in 24 hours

The spokesman for the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhii Cherevatyi said this on the air of the telethon "United News", an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

The Ukrainian military is pressing the invaders on the flanks, the enemy is putting up strong resistance.

"During this day alone, the enemy fired at us 445 times from cannon artillery and multiple rocket launchers in Bakhmut direction, and carried out two air raids. A total of ten combat engagements took place, 104 invaders were killed, 166 were wounded and six were captured," he said.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed two Grad multiple rocket launchers, an anti-tank missile system, a combat reconnaissance patrol vehicle, a battalion command observation post and three ammunition depots.

Cherevatyi also said that the enemy tried to attack our positions in Liman-Kupiansk direction three times and made 303 attacks. In the course of repelling the attacks, 22 invaders were killed and 50 were wounded.

As reported, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have seized the strategic initiative and are advancing near Bakhmut, Donetsk region.
