Ukraine’s Air Force launched 12 strikes on enemy clusters in past day – General Staff

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its morning update, Ukrinform reports.

"In the past 24 hours, the Air Force of the Defense Forces launched 12 strikes on enemy personnel concentration areas, and units of the rocket forces and artillery hit a command post, an enemy manpower cluster, 27 artillery units in firing positions and two enemy air defense systems,” the report says.

The Russian Federation again attacked Ukraine with missiles and Iranian-made attack UAVs of the Shahed type overnight. Information about the consequences is currently being verified.

In the past day, the Russian occupiers launched missile attacks and air strikes using cruise and anti-aircraft guided missiles, Shahed UAVs on civilian infrastructure objects.

Unfortunately, in addition to the destroyed civilian infrastructure, civilians were also affected. The probability of further missile attacks and air strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.

The enemy is focusing its main efforts on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Marinka directions, heavy battles are ongoing. In the past day, 39 combat engagements took place.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy launched air strikes on the districts of Bilohorivka and Novoliubivka in Luhansk region and Dibrova and Siversk in Donetsk region. Nevske, Bilohorivka of Luhansk region and Verkhniokamianske and Torske of Donetsk region were subjected to artillery shelling.

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in Minkivka and Bohdanivka districts of Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements, including Vasiukivka, Chasiv Yar, and Ivanivske in Donetsk region, came under enemy artillery shelling.

In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Avdiivka. An airstrike was recorded there. The Russian forces used artillery to shell more than 10 settlements. In particular, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske and Berdychi in Donetsk region came under fire.

In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled all enemy attacks in the area of Marinka. At the same time, the enemy launched air strikes on the districts of Kotliarivka, Marinka and Kurakhove and shelled more than 10 settlements with artillery, including Marinka, Pobieda and Novomykhailivka of Donetsk region.

As Ukrinform reported, from February 24, 2022 to July 2, 2023, the Defense Forces of Ukraine eliminated about 229,660 Russian invaders.
