Over the past day, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 20 Russian attack drones and 6 reconnaissance drones.

Yurii Ihnat, the spokesman for the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said this on the air of the telethon "United News", an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"The night was more or less quiet... But the kamikaze drones keep attacking. Yesterday, a total of 20 Iranian-made Shahed and Russian Lancet attack drones were destroyed, plus 6 reconnaissance UAVs such as Orlan, SuperCam and others. In fact, this is the result of combat work yesterday. Unfortunately, there were some "arrivals". My condolences to the victims in the Sumy region," said Ihnat.

He noted that the Air Force plays a very important role in protecting Ukraine from the actions of the terrorist state. The spokesman praised the work of Ukrainian pilots: "You see, the enemy is suffering more and more, more and more of it is disappearing from the world map because of the strikes of our pilots, including American weapons."

As reported, in the morning of July 3, Russians attacked Sumy with Shahed-136 drones. Three people were killed and 21 were injured.
