Enemy attacks Ukrainian positions 18 times in Tavria direction, 156 occupiers eliminated

The relevant statement was made by Spokesperson for the Joint Press Center of Ukraine’s Defense Forces in the Tavria direction Valerii Shershen during a nationwide telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Over the past day, the enemy has launched 18 attacks on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in that direction, namely 13 attacks on Marinka and five on Avdiivka. Additionally, the enemy opened fire 745 times with tanks, multiple launch rocket systems and cannon artillery,” Shershen told.

In his words, Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue holding back Russia’s onslaught in the Avdiivka direction, near Pervomaiske. The enemy also attacked Avdiivka with suicide drones.

In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled all enemy attacks near the town of Marinka. Russian invaders conducted unsuccessful offensive actions near Novomykhailivka.

According to Shershen, the situation remained rather unchanged in the Zaporizhzhia region. Russians are focusing efforts to hold the captured frontiers and prevent Ukrainian strike units from advancing.

A total of 156 Russian occupiers have been eliminated, 135 injured and one taken prisoner in the Tavria direction over the past day. The Ukrainian military destroyed 28 enemy ammunition and military equipment units, namely six tanks, five armored fighting vehicles, four guns, and six ammunition depots.
