Russians lost more than two companies in Tavria sector over past day – General Tarnavskyi

General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, commander of the Tavria operational and strategic grouping of troops, said this in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.

According to him, Ukrainian artillery units completed 1,437 tasks in the sector in the last 24 hours.

Ukrainian defenders destroyed 23 pieces of Russian military equipment, three ammunition depots and a command post.

In particular, the invaders lost two tanks, a 2S19 Msta-S self-propelled howitzer, an Orlan-10 UAV, a Merlin UAV, a Granat-1 UAV, three 2S3 Akatsiya self-propelled artillery systems, a 2S7 Pion self-propelled artillery system, a Buk anti-aircraft missile system, a Tor anti-aircraft missile system, two 2S5 Giatsint-S self-propelled howitzers, a 2A36 Giatsint –B self-propelled howitzer, a Tornado self-propelled howitzer, a BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher, and vehicles.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian Defense Forces killed about 234,040 Russian invaders from February 24, 2022 to July 9, 2023, including 600 in the past day alone.
