Explosions were heard in Ukraine's eastern city of Mariupol temporarily occupied by the Russian army.
Petro Andriushchenko, an adviser to the Ukrainian mayor of Mariupol, reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"Explosions in Mariupol. The occupiers started talking about air defenses. Locals report a loud sound from the west to the east (from Zaporizhzhia towards the Livoberezhnyi district of Mariupol) and a simultaneous attempt to intercept something in the air," the post reads.
It also added that the aircraft and air defenses of the Russian invaders were actively operating over the coast in the Mariupol district.
