About dozen of Shahed drones destroyed over Kyiv – military administration

On the night of July 13, 2023, about a dozen of enemy targets were destroyed by Ukraine’s air defense units over the capital city.

The relevant statement was made by Kyiv City Military Administration on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“For three days in a row, Kyiv has been attacked by the Shahed loitering munitions. Last night there has been a massive attack with the Iranian-made drones. The unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were entering the capital city from different directions. About a dozen of enemy targets were detected and destroyed by the air defense forces and systems within Kyiv’s airspace,” Kyiv City Military Administration Head Serhii Popko noted.

In his words, the fragments of enemy drones landed in the Darnytskyi, Solomianskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, Obolonskyi and Podilskyi districts. According to the preliminary data, some residential houses were damaged.

In the Darnytskyi district, two civilians were injured: a girl, 19, and a man, 23. They were taken to hospital.

In the Shevchenkivskyi district, one person was rescued while emergency services were eliminating the consequences of the enemy attack.
