Ukraine’s air defense forces destroyed 16 of 17 enemy attack drones and seven reconnaissance UAVs overnight.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

On the night of July 13-14, 2023, the Russian army attacked Ukraine with 17 Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 attack drones from the southeast (Primorsko-Akhtarsk).

"In the southern and eastern regions, 16 Shaheds were destroyed. Also, the defenders of the sky shot down one reconnaissance UAV overnight, the air defense forces destroyed six more operational-tactical level drones over the past day,” the report says.

Anti-aircraft missile units, fighter aircraft, mobile fire groups of the Air Force and air defense forces of other components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the areas of responsibility of the Air Commands South and East were involved in the operations.

In addition, the Ukrainian Air Force launched up to 20 air strikes on Russian occupiers during the current and past days.

As reported by Ukrinform, a man was injured as the Russian forces attacked Kryvyi Rih with UAVs last night.
