In Tavria direction, Ukraine’s Armed Forces advancing despite mined territories - Tarnavskyi

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are advancing in the Tavria direction despite mined territories and the activity of Russian aircraft.

General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, the commander of the Tavria Operational-Strategic Group of Troops, said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"The work continues in the Tavria direction. The defense forces are systematically eliminating the Russians. Despite mined territories and the enemy's activity in the air, our soldiers are moving forward," the report says.

Over the past day, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions 16 times and fired 650 projectiles. Artillery units of the Defense Forces of the Tavria direction performed 1,412 fire missions.

Over the past day, the enemy lost almost two companies of soldiers killed and wounded.

Ukrainian defenders destroyed 25 units of Russian military equipment, including three tanks, AFV, three units of Grad BM-21, one Orlan-10 UAV, two Strila-10 air defense systems, two 2A65 Msta-B howitzers, two 2S3 Akatsia self-propelled artillery systems, one Giatsint-B gun, one Giatsint-S gun, one D-30 gun, one Tunguska anti-aircraft missile defense system, and vehicles.

As reported by Ukrinform, 29 combat engagements were recorded in Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Marinka sectors throughout the day, heavy fighting continues.
