This was reported by NNEGC Energoatom on Telegram, Ukrinform reported.
"On July 20, 2023, in pursuance of a separate order of the President of SE NNEGC Energoatom, Petro Kotin, a command and staff exercise was held at the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant and in the satellite town of Netishyn with the participation of the management bodies and civil defense forces of The Khmelnytskyi Region. All units involved practiced their interaction in the event of an emergency situation at a critical infrastructure facility caused by the Russian military aggression against Ukraine," the statement said.

It is noted that the main tasks of the exercise were to check the KhNPP emergency response system, implement appropriate measures for the plant's interaction with local authorities and rescuers.

"This is the second such exercise. The previous one took place at Rivne NPP and its satellite town Varash," Energoatom added.
As reported, on May 3, the International Atomic Energy Agency conducted an inspection at Khmelnytskyi NPP for undeclared nuclear materials.
