Russian armed aggression affects over 1,564 children in Ukraine
The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Over 1,564 children in Ukraine have been affected by Russian armed aggression. As of July 22, 2023, according to the data from juvenile prosecutors, a total of 496 children were killed and over 1,068 received injuries of various severity levels,” the report states.
These data are not final, as they are being investigated within the areas of hostilities, temporarily occupied and liberated areas.
Currently, most casualties were recorded in the Donetsk region (474), Kharkiv region (297), Kyiv region (129), Kherson region (116), Zaporizhzhia region (97), Mykolaiv region (89), Dnipropetrovsk region (83), Chernihiv region (71), and Luhansk region (67).
On July 21, 2023, two children, aged 9 and 16, were killed in Russia’s shelling of the Bakhmut district’s Druzhba in the Donetsk region.
