Ukraine's defense forces advance along frontline, deep into enemy positions in Berdiansk direction

In Berdiansk direction, near Staromaiorske, the Defense Forces made some progress along the front line and deep into the occupied territory.

Spokesman for the Tavria Defense Forces Valeriy Shershen informed this on the air of the national telethon "United News", Ukrinform reports.

"In Berdiansk direction, Ukrainian attack aircraft near Staromaiorske had another success, advancing along the front line by half a kilometer. They have also advanced up to 750 meters deep into the enemy's territory," Shershen said.

The spokesman added that in Melitopol direction, near Robotyne, the situation of Ukrainian forces remained unchanged due to dense mining.

In general, according to Shershen, the situation in Melitopol and Berdiansk directions remained unchanged over the last day. The enemy continues to resist, moving troops and using reserves.

Ukrainian strike units are consolidating their positions at the striking lines, inflicting artillery fire on the identified enemy targets, and carrying out counter-battery measures.

According to the spokesman, demining is among the top priorities at the occupied lines.

According to him, the equipment provided to Ukraine by international partners - Wisent and Dachs engineering tanks - has proved to be a good asset.

"They show themselves well, because they ensure maximum crew survivability when blown up, tanks operate in cooperation with infantry in barrier groups," Shershen said.

As Ukrinform reported, one of the units of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine together with artillery destroyed enemy electronic warfare systems "Tirada" and "Leer-2" in Bakhmut direction.
