War update: 30 combat engagements recorded during the day

This is stated in the evening report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published on Facebook.

During the day, the Russian invaders launched a missile and air strike on the territory of Ukraine, using two Kalibr missiles to target the port infrastructure of Odesa region, and eight Shahed combat drones.

"As a result of successful combat work by the Air Force, all eight Shahed drones were destroyed. In total, the enemy launched 27 airstrikes and more than 30 MLRS attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated settlements. "Unfortunately, civilians were killed and injured, the port infrastructure in the south of Ukraine and residential buildings were destroyed and damaged," the report reads.

In Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly. There were no signs of the formation of offensive groups.

In Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna directions, the enemy launched mortar and artillery attacks on more than 20 settlements, including Stara Huta, Iskryskivshchyna, Volfyne, Bilovody, Pokrovka in Sumy region; Huryiv Kozachok, Udy, Bochkove, Mala Vovcha, Nesterne in Kharkiv region.

In Kupyansk direction, the aggressor launched an airstrike near Izium in Kharkiv region. Fyholivka, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kyslivka in Kharkiv region were hit with enemy artillery and mortars.

In Lyman direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations near Nadia in Luhansk region. An airstrike was launched near Bilohorivka, Luhansk region. The settlements of Nevske, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Spirne, Berestove, Torske, Verkhniokamyanske in Donetsk region came under artillery fire.

In Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled Russian attacks south of Klishchiyivka. The enemy carried out airstrikes near Kurdiumivka, Bila Hora, New York in Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements, including Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Toretsk, Zalizne in Donetsk region, were affected by enemy artillery shelling.

In Avdiyivka direction, under heavy enemy aircraft and artillery fire, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled attacks near Avdiyivka. More than 15 settlements, in particular, Berdychi, Avdiyivka, Pervomayske, Nevelske, Karlivka in Donetsk region, were hit with artillery.

In Maryinka direction, the defense forces continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops in the area of Maryinka. The enemy shelled more than 10 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Heorhiyivka, Maryinka, Kurakhivka, Pobieda, Novomykhaylivka in Donetsk region.

In Shakhtarske direction, the invaders launched an airstrike near Staromayorske in Donetsk region. The settlements of Vodiane, Vuhledar, and Blahodatne were hit.

In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy focuses its main efforts on preventing the further advance of Ukrainian troops. More than 15 settlements were hit with artillery, including Levadne, Huliaypole, Charivne, Bilohirya, and Kamyanske in Zaporizhzhia region; Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk region; Zmiyivka, Lvove, Tokarivka, Antonivka, Dniprovske in Kherson region.

The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to go on the offensive in Melitopol and Berdiansk directions, gain a foothold on the reached boundaries, fire artillery on detected enemy targets, and carry out counter-battery fight.

"During the day, the Air Force launched six strikes on enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment clusters, one strike – on anti-aircraft missile systems, and another one – on a command post," the General Staff informs.

Missile and artillery units hit an enemy command post, a personnel cluster, five pieces of artillery on firing positions, a fuel depot, an EW system.
