Ukrinform
Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate at the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Maj. Gen. Kyrylo Budanov has expressed confidence that Ukrainian forces will soon enter the temporarily occupied Crimea.
The relevant statement was made by the head of the Ukrainian intelligence in a commentary to TSN, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
Budanov did not name a specific date for Crimea’s de-occupation but confirmed that it would happen “soon”.
At the same time, Budanov called the threat from Belarus unrealistic and stressed that the deployment of Wagner mercenaries in Belarus does not scare Ukraine’s Defense Forces at all.
According to Ukraine’s intelligence chief, there is no quantitative increase in the reserves of Russian occupation troops. Their numbers are remaining the same, but continuous mobilization efforts allow Russia to constantly replenish personnel losses.
