Ukraine's General Staff: 20 combat clashes on front line on Sun

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in an evening update published on Facebook.

It said that throughout the day the enemy launched four missile strikes and 34 air strikes. In particular, the enemy used four Shahed-136 attack drones, and all of them were destroyed. Also, Russia launched 37 attacks using multiple rocket launchers at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, civilian casualties and damage to residential buildings were recorded.

The probability of the enemy launching missile and air strikes on targets across Ukraine remains high.

On the Volyn and Polissia axis, the operational situation has not changed significantly. There were no signs of the formation of offensive groups. Belarusian armed forces units perform tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.

On the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axis, the enemy carried out mortar and artillery attacks on more than 25 settlements, including Buchky and Hremiach in the Chernihiv region, Porokhon and Sytne in the Sumy region, as well as Veterynarne, Kozacha Lopan and Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region.

In the Kupiansk sector, Ukrainian soldiers are on the defensive. They successfully repelled enemy attacks east of Berestove, Kharkiv region. The settlements of Fyholivka, Novomlynsk, Zapadne, Kindrashivka and Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region came under artillery and mortar shelling by the aggressor.

In the Lyman sector, the enemy carried out airstrikes outside Bilohorivka, Luhansk region, and Ivanivka, Serebrianka and Spirne in the Donetsk region. The settlements of Nevske and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Torske, Spirne and Berestove in the Donetsk region were hit by artillery fire.

On the Bakhmut axis, the enemy carried out airstrikes near Klishchiivka, Bila Hora and Kostiantynivka. More than 15 settlements, including Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bilokuzmynivka, Hryhorivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka and Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region were hit by enemy artillery fire.

In the Avdiivka sector, the invaders launched an air strike in the Avdiivka area. More than ten settlements, including Keramik, Avdiivka, Vodiane and Karlivka in the Donetsk region came under artillery fire.

In the Marinka area, Ukraine's defense forces continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops near Marinka and Pobieda, Donetsk region. The aggressor shelled more than ten settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Heorhiivka, Hostre and Katerynivka.

On the Shakhtarske axis, the enemy launched an air strike in the Staromaiorske area. The enemy shelled the settlements of Blahodatne, Vugledar and Prechystivka in the Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson sectors, the invaders are concentrating their main efforts on preventing the further advance of Ukrainian troops. An airstrike was carried out near Zmiivka, Kherson region. More than 25 settlements, including Levadne, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Bilohiria and Kamianske in the Zaporizhzhia region, Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region, Beryslav, Vesele, Antonivka, Berehove and Veletenske in the Kherson region came under artillery fire.

At the same time, Ukraine's defense forces continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions and are entrenching themselves on the achieved lines.

According to the General Staff, amid successful military operations by the Ukrainian defense forces, the number of casualties in the units of the Russian troops, which physically do not have time to remove the dead from local morgues, has increased significantly. In particular, in the city of Svatove, Luhansk region, the territory of the city morgue is overflowing with the bodies of dead Russians. They have not been taken out for almost a week. Because of this, the city has an unbearable dead body smell.

At the same time, in the city of Starobilsk, the invaders forcibly moved part of the civilian medical personnel from local medical facilities to the so-called military hospitals to provide medical care to the wounded. As a result, local elderly residents complain about the lack of an opportunity to receive at least some kind of treatment.

"In the past 24 hours, the aircraft of the Defense Forces carried out seven strikes on the areas of concentration of manpower, weapons and military equipment of the enemy. Our defenders also destroyed four reconnaissance operational-tactical UAVs," the General Staff said.

In addition, on Sunday, units of Ukrainian rocket troops and artillery hit the enemy's anti-aircraft missile system, eight artillery pieces at firing positions, two electronic warfare stations, as well as two areas where the invaders' military personnel were concentrated.
