Zelensky: As long as war is on, aid cannot be enough
This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with Globo, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
"Is the world's help enough for Ukraine? I'll tell you this: if the war was over, it would be enough. As long as the war is going on, nothing can be enough. This means that something is missing. Assistance is not only weapons, it is also information support and humanitarian aid," the Head of State said.
According to him, after the war is over, another one will begin: for the restoration of Ukraine, medical and psychological rehabilitation of people, and political assistance.
"It is very important that Ukraine wins. It is important for the world to understand and feel that it was not just helping. It is important for the population of Ukraine to survive, and for Ukraine to defend global and European values," Zelensky emphasized.
He believes that as long as the people of the world have a factor of unity, there is a chance for peace to be restored and that there will be no World War III.
When answering the question why the topic of Russia's war against Ukraine is so often 'tied' to America, Zelensky emphasized that the United States provides Ukraine with the largest amount of aid.
"Why are there so many Americans? Because it helps the most. And there is justice in this. When they gave us little, I justifiably asked them for help. And if today and throughout this war the United States is the leader of aid, it does not mean that this is their war. No, it doesn't. It means that they are leaders of assistance," the President emphasized.
As reported, on July 25, the US Department of Defense announced an additional package of military assistance to Ukraine, which provides for immediate deliveries of weapons and equipment from the Pentagon's stockpile, including missiles for Patriot, NASAMS, HIMARS and other systems.
