Russian mines discovered on way of IAEA mission to ZNPP
Olexandr Tarnavsky, commander of the Tavria operational and strategic group of troops, reported this on Telegram and posted a video, Ukrinform reports.
"This morning, our sappers managed to detect two Russian anti-personnel mines on the way of the IAEA mission to the Zaporizhzhya NPP," Tarnavsky said.
He noted that "the mines were defused, which made it possible to guarantee the safety of the experts."
As reported, International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Rafael Grossi at a meeting of the UN Security Council announced a number of principles to ensure ZNPP security. Among them: any attacks from/to the territory of ZNPP are unacceptable; ZNPP cannot be used as a heavy weapons depot or a base for the military; ZNPP power supply does not have risks; all facilities for reliable operation of the plant must be protected from attacks.
