Russians say two bridges connecting occupied Crimea with captured areas in mainland Ukraine hit by missiles

This is reported by Radio Liberty with reference to representatives of the occupation "authorities", Ukrinform saw.

The Russian-planted "head of Crimea" Sergey Aksyonov reported "a missile attack in the area of the Chonhar bridge", as a result of which the road surface was damaged.

Vladimir Saldo, the "acting governor" of the occupied part of Kherson region, confirmed the report. He also wrote about the bridge across the Tonka Strait also being hit. Saldo claims that Ukraine’s Armed Forces fired off a total of 12 missiles, nine of which were allegedly shot down.

Operations have been suspended at the Chonhar checkpoint, one of three on the border of Crimea and Kherson region. The Armiansk and Perekop checkpoints function as usual.

The invaders have been using the Chonhar road bridge to deliver munitions and fuel from the occupied Crimea to the Russian group of troops in the southeast of Ukraine

As reported, on June 22 two bridges connecting Crimea and mainland Ukraine - the Chonhar bridge and the crossing on Lake Sivash – were hit in a missile attack.

In an interview with Ukrinform, Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Oleksiy Hromov, confirmed that Ukraine struck these objects with Storm Shadow air-to-surface cruise missiles.
