Last week, Latvian officials also reported that Belarusian services helped migrants get to Latvia.

Due to the artificially created migration crisis on Belarus's border with the EU by the Lukashenka regime, in August 2021, Latvia introduced a state of emergency in several districts and has been maintaining it ever since.

Recently, the situation has been exacerbated by the arrival of several thousand mercenaries of the Wagner Group in Belarus.
