Lithuanian military off to Britain with another training mission for Ukrainian soldiers
This was reported by Lithuania’s national broadcaster LRT with reference to the spokesperson for the country’s armed forces, Ukrinform saw.
The group includes 10 servicemen from the General Stasys Rastikis School of the Armed Forces of Lithuania, five representatives of the General Adolfas Ramanauskas Combat Training Center, two from the Training Regiment of the Grand Hetman Janusz Radzivil of Lithuania, and one from the Jonas Basanavicius Military Medical Service.
"The purpose of the group is to give the Ukrainian military during basic military training the knowledge and skills necessary for battlefield survival and success. Training in handling weapons, precision shooting, equipment identification, as well as medical, engineering, and tactical training in urban and forest areas will be organized for servicemen," said Major Kyastutis Cekavicius, who heads the team of instructors.
As reported, 18,000 Ukrainian soldiers have already undergone training in Great Britain under the basic program.
