Mine in Donetsk region suffers power outage due to shelling
This was reported by the Ministry of Energy, according to Ukrinform.
" Due to the shelling at night in the Donetsk region, an overhead power line was damaged, which led to a power outage at one of the mines. At the time, there were workers underground, and they were brought to the surface unharmed. Restoration work is ongoing," the statement said.
In addition, some consumers in the Dnipropetrovska, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv regions remain without power supply due to the hostilities.
In the Kherson region, overnight, power engineers supplied electricity to eight settlements that were cut off from power supply due to shelling.
In Kherson, 11,300 consumers remain disconnected after the flooding. Restoration work has been slowed down, in part, due to constant enemy shelling.
It is also reported that on August 8, another power unit at one of the thermal power plants with a capacity of 240 MW was repaired.
The repair campaign at the power plants continues.
Commercial electricity imports amounted to 7,966 MWh over the past day. There were no exports.
As reported, NPC Ukrenergo has restored some equipment at two substations in southern Ukraine.
