In the temporarily captured territories of Ukraine, the Russian invaders continue to re-equip civilian infrastructure to increase repression against the population and hide their criminal activities.

“In August, the invaders urgently set up a new prison in Pervomayivka, Kherson region, using the premises of a food base. The surrounding area is already guarded by military personnel of the Russian military police on a permanent basis,” Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Hanna Maliar posted on Telegram.

In Tokmak, Zaporizhzhia region, the invaders, threatening with firearms, took non-residential premises from local entrepreneurs to hold detainees there, Maliar noted.

In Vasylivka, Zaporizhzhia region, the Russians interrogate local residents, using torture, in a student dormitory.

As reported, Petro Andriushchenko, adviser to the Mariupol mayor, said that more than 10,000 civilians had been arrested in Mariupol, temporarily captured by the Russians, and their places of detention and fate were unknown.
