36 police officers injured in Russian strike on Pokrovsk
Ivan Vyhivskyi, the head of the National Police, informed this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
"On August 7, the occupants launched two missile strikes (on Pokrovsk - ed.) with Iskander missiles. Nine people were killed, and 86 were injured, including two children. Among the injured are 36 policemen: paramedics, explosives experts, district police officers, juvenile police officers, and others, because they all rushed to save people after the house was hit," he said.
Vyhivskyi released a video with footage of police officers working during the attacks in Pokrovsk, in the Donetsk region, from the body cameras of law enforcement officers, right from the scene of the attack.
"Strikes on civilian objects are a habitual style of our enemy. We have been witnessing daily acts of genocide for a year and a half. And double strikes on people, targeting medics, rescuers and police officers, is an exclusive and inherent practice of terrorists and Inhumans," the head of the National Police noted.
As reported, in the evening on August 7, the Russian army fired two missiles from the Iskander system at Pokrovsk, hitting a residential high-rise building, and then rescuers and law enforcement officers arrived at the scene.
