British Ambassador to Ukraine Melinda Simmons visited the Lviv Medical Center 'Nezlamni', which is supported by British partners.

The diplomat reported this on the social network X, according to Ukrinform.

“I visited the unbroken medical centre in Lviv and talked with soldiers who had lost limbs fighting Russia. Saw how prosthetics were made. Met with a lot of very brave and determined Ukrainian people piecing their lives back together. Proud UK is supporting this”, the ambassador wrote.

The National Rehabilitation Center 'Nezlamni' operates on the basis of the First Medical Association of Lviv, the largest medical institution in Ukraine, which includes two adult hospitals and one children's hospital.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, more than 11,000 injured Ukrainians, including 350 children, have been treated here. The Center's areas of expertise include reconstructive surgery, orthopedics and prosthetics. Prostheses are not only fitted but also manufactured here. The center also provides physical, psychological and psychosocial rehabilitation. All medical care is provided free of charge.
