Russians abduct another employee of Energoatom
"About a month ago, on July 18, 2023, the invaders kidnapped another employee of the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP – Serhiy Spartesny, a shift chief of the turbine department of the operational unit who is over 60 years old," the press service of the company posted on Telegram.
According to Energoatom, armed Russian soldiers came to the man's house and took him to a local occupation police station. Previously, his house was repeatedly searched: the Russians constantly checked his computer, phone, and social media accounts.
It is noted that Spartesny had been in police custody since his arrest, and there is still no information about his health condition or the charges brought by the occupiers. There is no connection with the man.
"We call on the world community to make utmost efforts and take all possible measures to release all ZNPP workers," Energoatom emphasized.
As reported, the ZNPP has been under occupation since March 4, 2022. During this time, the Russians have repeatedly violated the principles of nuclear safety, placing military equipment on the territory of the ZNPP, mining the territory, and terrorizing the plant's personnel.
