War update: 20 combat engagements in past day, AFU’s offensive in south ongoing

This is stated in the morning report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Over the past day, the aviation of the defense forces launched 10 strikes on enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment clusters and another one on an anti-aircraft missile system. Also, our defenders destroyed eight reconnaissance UAVs of the operational-tactical level. Missile and artillery units struck an enemy anti-aircraft missile system," reads the report.

In general, over the past day, the enemy launched eight missile strikes, 82 airstrikes, and 76 MLRS attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated settlements.

"Unfortunately, as a result of the Russian terrorist attacks, civilians, including children, were killed and injured. The port infrastructure in Odesa region, residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure objects in Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Dnipro, and Kherson regions were destroyed," the General Staff informs.

According to updated information, two Kh-35/Kh-59 cruise missiles and 16 Shahed-136/131UAVs were destroyed over the past day.

In Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.

In Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna directions, the enemy launched airstrikes in the areas of Chervona Zoria, Veterynarne, Kozacha Lopan, Hatyshche, and Rohan in Kharkiv region. Mortars and artillery were fired at more than 15 settlements, in particular, Tymonovychi, Bleshnia in Chernihiv region; Turya, Stepok, Hrabovske in Sumy region; Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, Okhrimivka, Potykhonove, Chuhunivka in Kharkiv region.

In Kupyansk direction, the enemy launched airstrikes in the areas of Kupyansk, Petropavlivka, Podoly, Tabayivka, Piski-Radkivsky, Cherneshchyna in Kharkiv region; Nadia in Luhansk region. The enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations near Senkivka in Kharkiv region. The settlements of Vilshana, Petropavlivka, Cherneshchyna in Kharkiv region came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

In Lyman direction, the enemy launched airstrikes in the areas of Nevske, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Siversk in Donetsk region. About 20 settlements, in particular, Nevske, Dibrova, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Vyimka, Pereyizne, Rozdolivka, Pazeno in Donetsk region, were hit with artillery.

In Bakhmut direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive operations in the area of Bohdanivka, Donetsk region. Airstrikes were launched near Ivanivka, Pryvillia, Minkivka, and Bila Hora in Donetsk region. More than 15 settlements, including Andriyivka, Bila Hora, Dyliyivka, Pivnichne in Donetsk region, were hit with artillery.

In Avdiyivka direction, under heavy enemy aircraft and artillery fire, our defenders continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops in the area of Avdiyivka, Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements, including Oleksandropil, Novokalynove, Avdiyivka, Tonenke, Sieverne, Pervomayske, and Nevelske in Donetsk region, came under artillery fire.

In Maryinka direction, the defense forces continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops in the area of Maryinka, Donetsk region. The enemy launched airstrikes near Krasnohorivka and Novomykhaylivka in Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements, in particular, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Pobieda, Paraskoviyivka, and Vodiane in Donetsk region, were hit with artillery.

In Shakhtarske direction, the enemy launched airstrikes in the areas of Blahodatne, Urozhayne, and Staromayorske in Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements, including Vodiane, Bohoyavlenka, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Velyka Novosilka, Blahodatne, and Urozhayne in Donetsk region, were hit with artillery.

In Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy launched airstrikes in the areas of Mala Tokmachka and Novodanylivka in Zaporizhzhia region. More than 20 settlements, including Omelnyk, Novoandriyivka, Kamyanske, Plavni, Lukyanivske in Zaporizhzhia region, came under enemy artillery fire.

In Kherson direction, more than 10 settlements were hit with enemy artillery, including Kherson, Khreshchenivka, Novodmytrivka, Mykolayivka, Sadove, Zelenivka, Berehove, Kizomys in Kherson region.

The Russian invaders continue to use the civilian infrastructure of temporarily occupied settlements to provide medical aid to their wounded servicemen. In the village of Shevchenkivske, Zaporizhzhia region, Russian servicemen equipped a civilian building as a field hospital where more than 30 wounded occupiers are being treated.
