Zaluzhny tells Milley about situation on battlefield, defense forces’ plans
"I spoke about the operational situation at the front and our near-, medium-, and long-term plans. I also informed General Milley in detail about the plans and probable actions of the Russian occupiers," Zaluzhny posted on Telegram.
During the telephone conversation, Zaluzhny and Milley also discussed the urgent need of the Ukrainian army for shells, weapons, mine clearance equipment, air defense systems, and electronic warfare systems.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine thanked the Allies for the material and technical assistance already provided. "We continue to consolidate our efforts to defeat the aggressor," he said.
As reported, on August 14, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced the allocation of $200 million in security assistance to Ukraine.
