Ukraine downs two Russian recon drones over Mykolaiv region

In Mykolaiv region, southern Ukraine, the country’s air defense forces shot down two Russian reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles.

That’s according to Air Force Command South, Ukrinform reports.

"On August 22, 2023, two Russian reconnaissance UAVs - Supercam and Merlin-VR - were destroyed over Mykolaiv region by air defense units of Air Force Command South," the press service wrote on Facebook.

As reported earlier, overnight Tuesday, August 22, a Shahed-type kamikaze drone launched by Russia hit the building of the Semenivka Town Council in Chernihiv region.

As of August 22, Russia’s military death toll in Ukraine stood at 258,340.
