Russians shell Sumy region, injuring four civilians
“Under the procedural guidance of the Shostka District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation was started into the violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),” the Prosecutor General's Office posted on Telegram.
According to the investigation data, around 13:00 on August 22, invaders opened fire from mortar and grenade launcher on the outskirts of the town of Seredyna-Buda, Shostka district, from the territory of the Russian Federation.
Four civilian men were injured. Facades of private houses and vehicles were damaged with shell fragments.
Prosecutors, in cooperation with other law enforcement officers, document the consequences of the shelling.
As reported, Russian troops shelled the border areas of Chernihiv and Sumy region six times over the past 24 hours.
