Ukraine forces down 11 Shahed drones overnight Wed

Ukraine’s Defense Forces show down 11 Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 one-way attack drones launched by Russia in the early hours of Wednesday, August 23.

That’s according to the Air Force Command, Ukrinform reports.

On the night of August 23, the Russians launched Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs from the southeast. In total, up to 20 attack drones were launched from the Primorsk-Akhtarsk region (Russia) and Chauda (temporarily occupied Crimea).

The Air Force, acting in conjunction with the air defense units of other elements of Ukraine’s Defense Forces destroyed 11 enemy drones: nine – over Odesa region and two – over Zaporizhzhia region.
