The Russians are experiencing a significant ammunition shortage in the south of Ukraine.

"During the week, the enemy attacked Kherson region with 70, 90, and 100 strikes per day. Over the past day, 64 strikes were launched and up to 300 shells were used. That is, they have a significant decline in ammunition, and this ammunition shortage is felt," Natalia Humeniuk, head of the joint coordination press center of the Defense Forces of South of Ukraine, said during the United News nationwide telethon, Ukrinform reports.

According to her, the Russians cannot deliver ammunition directly to the front line, making it difficult for them to stay there. "Because of this, they very often flee from the positions from which we knock them out – not only at the moment when the attack takes place but also simply during some kind of pause," Humeniuk informed.

When asked about the situation with the Russian ammo depots in the southern direction, the head of the joint coordination press center of the Defense Forces of South noted that even Russian units and military personnel were complaining very seriously about the fact that logistics had not been established.

"Despite the encouraging reports [in the Russian Federation] that the bridges have been repaired, that they are succeeding in everything, but it works only on paper and is not reflected in reality," she said.

Humeniuk praised the effective counter-battery fight of the Ukrainian military in the south. Over the past day, three ammunition depots on the temporarily occupied left bank were destroyed.
