Twenty-three combat engagements occur at front during the day

This is stated in the report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 18:00 on August 27 published on Facebook.

During the day, the enemy launched 11 missile strikes, 32 airstrikes, and 38 MLRS attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated settlements. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, civilians were killed and injured. Residential buildings, schools, and other civilian infrastructure objects were destroyed.

"Twenty-three combat engagements took place during the day," the General Staff reports.

In Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.

In Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna directions, the aggressor launched an airstrike in the area of Kindrativka, Sumy region. Mortars and artillery were fired on more than 25 settlements, in particular, Khrinivka, Kliusy, Liskivshchyna in Chernihiv region; Seredyna-Buda, Vilna Sloboda, Simeykyne, Volfyne, Kindrativka, Sadky in Sumy region; Okip, Strilecha, Oliynykove, Hatyshche, Nesterne in Kharkiv region.

In Kupyansk direction, the enemy launched airstrikes in the areas of Nadiya, Tverdokhlibove, and Myasozharivka in Luhansk region. The settlements of Kamyanka, Synkivka, Ivanivka, Kyslivka, and Berestove in Kharkiv region were hit with artillery and mortars.

In Lyman direction, the invaders carried out unsuccessful offensive operations in the area of Novoyehorivka in Luhansk region. More than 10 settlements, in particular, Karmazynivka, Nevske, Chervonopopivka, Kreminna, Kuzmyne in Luhansk region; Torske, Dibrova, Spirne in Donetsk region came under enemy artillery fire.

In Bakhmut direction, the aggressor carried out unsuccessful offensive operations in the area of Klishchiyivka in Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements, including Vasiukivka, Markove, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Bila Hora, and New York in Donetsk region, came under enemy artillery fire.

In Avdiyivka direction, the invaders hit Keramik, Novokalynove, Avdiyivka, Karlivka, Pervomayske, Nevelske in Donetsk region with artillery and mortars.

In Maryinka direction, the defense forces continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops in the area of Maryinka in Donetsk region. The enemy launched an airstrike near Krasnohorivka in Donetsk region. The settlements of Oleksandropil, Hostre, Maryinka, Pobieda, Paraskoviyivka, and Vodiane in Donetsk region were hit with artillery.

In Shakhtarske direction, the enemy launched an airstrike in the area of Zolota Nyva, Donetsk region. The enemy shelled the settlements of Bohoyavlenka, Shakhtarske, Vremivka, Staromayorske, Rivnopil in Donetsk region with artillery.

In Zaporizhzhia direction, Russian troops launched airstrikes in the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, and Novodanylivka in Zaporizhzhia region.

More than 20 settlements, including Novoandriyivka, Olhivske, Chervone, Huliaypilske, Yehorivka, Mali Shcherbaky in Zaporizhia region, came under artillery fire.

In Kherson direction, the enemy launched airstrikes near Mykolayivka, Mykilske, Antonivka in Kherson region. More than 10 settlements came under artillery fire: Zmiyivka, Tomaryne, Burhunka, Tiahynka, Kherson, Bilozerka and others.

At the same time, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct an offensive operation in Melitopol direction, gain a foothold on the achieved boundaries, and carry out counter-battery fight.

"During the day, the aviation of the defense forces launched 10 strikes on enemy personnel concentration areas and another one on anti-aircraft missile systems," the General Staff informs.

In addition, missile and artillery units hit an enemy ammunition depot, two electronic warfare stations, and three artillery systems on firing positions.
