Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue offensive in Melitopol direction

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its morning update on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

According to the General Staff, throughout the day, the enemy launched 11 missile attacks and 48 airstrikes, carried out 54 MLRS attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, as a result of the Russian terrorist attacks, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population. Damage was caused to residential buildings, schools and other civil infrastructure.

“34 combat clashes occurred in the past 24 hours,” the General Staff said.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.

In the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna directions, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of Volfyne, Sumy region, and Okip, Kharkiv region. Russian launched mortar and artillery shelling of more than 30 settlements, including Khrinivka, Kliusy, Liskivshchyna, Hremyach, Kamin of Chernihiv region; Khodyne, Kostiantynivka, Turya, Novodmytrivka, Hrabovske, Velyka Pysarivka of Sumy region and Veterynarne, Krasne, Ohirtseve, Budarky, Kolodiazne of Kharkiv region.

In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the districts of Nadia and Tverdokhlibove, Luhansk region. The settlements of Kamianka, Dvorichna, Synkivka, Ivanivka, Kyslivka, Berestove of Kharkiv region were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar attacks.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in Novoyehorivka area of Luhansk region. More than 10 settlements, including Karmazynivka, Nevske, Chervonopivka, Kreminna, Bilohorivka of Luhansk region, and Torske, Dibrova, Spirne, Rozdolivka of Donetsk region, came under enemy artillery fire.

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in Klishchiivka area of Donetsk region. More than 15 settlements, including Minkivka, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Mykolaivka, Klishchiivka, and Kurdiumivka of Donetsk region, came under enemy artillery fire.

In the Avdiivka direction, more than 10 settlements, including Ocheretyne, Stepove, Avdiivka, Severne, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Donetsk region, were subjected to enemy artillery fire.

In the Maryinka direction, the defense forces continue to hold back Russian troops in the area of Marinka in Donetsk region. The enemy launched an airstrike in Krasnohorivka area, Donetsk region. The settlements of Krasnohorivka, Hostre, Maryinka, Katerynivka, Paraskoviivka, Novomykhailivka of Donetsk region were hit by artillery fire.

In the Shakhtarske direction, the enemy launched airstrikes in the districts of Zolota Nyva and Staromaiorske, Donetsk region. The settlement of Bohoiavlenka, Shakhtarske, Vremivka, Staromaiorske, Rivnopil of Donetsk region came under enemy artillery fire.

In the Zaporizhzhia sector, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the districts of Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, and Novodanylivka of Zaporizhzhia region. More than 25 settlements, including Malynivka, Charivne, Shcherbaky, Stepove, and Lukianivske of Zaporizhzhia region, were subjected to enemy artillery fire.

In the Kherson direction, the enemy carried out airstrikes in Mykolaivka, Mykilske and Antonivka districts of Kherson region. More than 15 settlements came under enemy artillery fire, including Beryslav, Mykolaivka, Lviv, Molodizhne, Dniprovsk and Berehove of Kherson region.

Over the past 24 hours, the Air Force of the Defense Forces launched 10 strikes on enemy personnel clusters, as well as one strike targeting enemy anti-aircraft missile systems. For their part, missile and artillery forces struck one enemy ammunition depot, two e-warfare stations, and four artillery units in firing positions.
