Eight Russian warships on combat duty in Black Sea, no missile carriers among them
The relevant statement was made by Head of the Joint Coordinating Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces Natalia Humeniuk during a nationwide telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Eight Russian warships are now deployed in the Black Sea and one in the Sea of Azov. No missile carriers are on combat duty, as all of them were taken to home stations,” Humeniuk told.
Meanwhile, the threat of Russian missile attacks is persisting. According to Humeniuk, enemy missile ships can set off within several hours. She also mentioned that sometimes Russian invaders launched strikes directly from the bays.
A reminder that, between February 24, 2022 and August 29, 2023, Russia’s total combat losses in Ukraine reached about 261,840 troops.
