AFU achieve success in Novodanylivka, Novoprokopivka direction

The relevant statement was made by Spokesperson for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Andrii Kovaliov during a nationwide telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue the offensive operation in the Bakhmut and Melitopol sectors. In the direction of Novodanylivka and Novoprokopivka, they have achieved success, are gaining a foothold within the recaptured frontiers, attacking the enemy’s military targets with artillery, and carrying out counterbattery measures,” Kovaliov told.

Additionally, Ukrainian warriors are conducting offensive actions to the south of the Donetsk region’s Bakhmut.

At the same time, Ukrainian defenders are holding back Russians in the Lyman and Bakhmut sectors.

According to Kovaliov, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions near the Donetsk region’s Marinka, Staromaiorske, Klishchiivka and Kurdiumivka; the Zaporizhzhia region’s Verbove; and the Luhansk region’s Bilohorivka.

Fierce battles are raging on the front, Kovaliov stressed.

A reminder that, between February 24, 2022 and August 31, 2023, Russia’s total combat losses in Ukraine reached about 263,020 troops.
