More than 100 combat clashes along front line in past day – General Staff

More than 100 combat clashes have been recorded across the front line in the past 24 hours. In total, Russian forces launched nine missile attacks and 39 airstrikes, carried out 50 attacks using multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of Ukrainian troops, as well as populated areas across the country.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its morning update on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"The enemy cynically launched a missile attack on the school in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region, the building of the educational institution was almost fully destroyed. As a result of the Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are dead and injured among the civilian population. The school, apartment blocks and private residential buildings were destroyed and damaged, as well as other civil infrastructure facilities," the report says.

About 110 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions came under enemy artillery fire.

Russian forces launched airstrikes on Bilohorivka, Luhansk region; Klishchiivka, Kurdiumivka, New York, Avdiivka, Keramik, Lastochkyne, Novomykhailivka, Staromaiorske, Urozhaine in Donetsk region; Zmiivka, Beryslav, Kozatske, Novoberyslav, Tiahynka, Prydniprovske in Kherson region.

In the past 24 hours, the Air Force of Ukraine launched eight strikes on Russian manpower, weapons and military equipment clusters, and four strikes on enemy anti-aircraft missile systems.

"Units of the missile forces hit 1 enemy command post, 1 ammunition depot, 3 manpower, weapons and military equipment clusters, and 1 EW station," the General Staff reported.

"At night the Russian occupiers launched another airstrikes on Ukraine, using Kh-59 guided air missiles, Iskander-K cruise missiles and Shahed-136/131 type UAVs. Information about the consequences of this terrorist attack is currently being clarified,” the report says.

As Ukrinform reported, from February 24, 2022 to October 20, 2023, the Defense Forces of Ukraine eliminated about 292,060 Russian invaders.
