Gov't endorses motion to speed up delivery of drones, e-warfare capabilities to Armed Forces

Now drones and e-warfare systems will be accepted for service following joint interagency testing and the study of their tactical and technical features.

Also, all government agencies entitled to procure such equipment shall be allowed to purchase UAVs and e-warfare systems once joint testing involving manufacturers have been completed.

The government endorsed the relevant resolution drafted by the ministry of defense.

"Prior to this, the process was unreasonably long as it involved a study of technical paperwork, testing, conducting tests, and researching feasibility and actual needs of the Armed Forces. Amid the ongoing war, this is unacceptable," the ministry emphasized.

From now on, to accept UAVs for service, the General Staff shall approve technical requirements for UAVs, indicating the needed tactical and technical features.

In addition, the General Staff is tasked with approving the technical requirements for e-warfare systems and the current demand in the Armed Forces.

"Previously, the precise term and order of the procedures were not determined. Because of this, the admission to operation and supply of weapons to military units dragged for months," the ministry noted.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, Ukrainian manufacturers of drones showcased their projects before foreign military attachés in order to strengthen cooperation with international partners and attract investment in their manufacture.
