Russians drop guided aerial bombs on Beryslav, woman killed
The press service of the National Police of Ukraine reported this on its website, according to Ukrinform.
"The enemy again launched airstrikes on residential quarters of Beryslav and Kozatske in Kakhovka district. As a result of the explosions of guided bombs in Beryslav, at least 17 houses were damaged and a 74-year-old woman was killed. In Kozatske, a grain complex was hit," the report says.
Also in Beryslav, the body of a woman was found during the dismantling of the rubble of a house destroyed by a Russian bomb. Police identified her. She was a 56-year-old local resident who was looking after the house and had come to feed the dogs at the time of the airstrike on October 19.
In Zolota Balka, two houses were heavily damaged by Russian artillery shelling. The owners were not in the houses at the time, there were no casualties.
In Kherson, the center, Korabelnyi and Dniprovskyi districts, summer cottages along the Dnipro River and the suburbs came under enemy fire.
In the regional center, multi-storey and private buildings were damaged, and fires broke out in some places.
Investigative and operational police teams worked at the sites of shelling, recovered fragments of enemy weapons and recorded crimes.
Over the past day, the police responded to 280 reports from citizens about criminal offenses and other events. As many as 13 criminal proceedings were launched under Article 438 "Violation of the laws and customs of war" of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
As Ukrinform reported, on October 20, Russian forces shelled Kherson region 57 times, killing one civilian.
